This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") outlines the prohibited uses of the services provided by Nanobyte Hosting. This policy is designed to protect our servers, network reputation, and the experience of all our customers. By using our services, you agree to these guidelines.
1. Illegal Activities
You may not use Nanobyte Hosting services for any activity that violates local laws in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, or international laws. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Child Exploitation: Hosting, distributing, or linking to Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). We have a zero-tolerance policy and will report such content to the NCMEC and local authorities immediately.
- Terrorism: Promoting terrorist activities or inciting violence.
- Fraud: Hosting fraudulent sites, Ponzi schemes, or pyramid schemes.
- Copyright Infringement: Hosting content that violates DMCA or trademark laws.
2. Email and Anti-SPAM Policy
We have a Zero Tolerance Policy for unsolicited commercial email (SPAM). Sending spam will result in immediate account termination.
- You may not use our servers to send bulk emails to users who have not explicitly opted in.
- You may not host "lead capture" pages referenced in spam emails sent from other networks (Spamvertising).
- Mailing lists must include a working "Unsubscribe" link.
3. Security and Malware
You are prohibited from using our services to compromise the security of our network or third parties:
- Phishing: Hosting fake login pages to steal user credentials (banks, social media, etc.).
- Malware Distribution: Hosting viruses, trojans, worms, keyloggers, or ransomware.
- Hacking/Scanning: Running port scanners, brute-force scripts, or vulnerability scanners against other networks.
- Botnets: Using your account as a Command & Control (C&C) server for botnets.
4. Resource Usage (Shared Hosting)
To ensure fairness for all clients on shared servers, you may not:
- Run scripts that consume excessive CPU or RAM for extended periods.
- Run web spiders or indexers (e.g., Googlebot clones).
- Run torrent trackers or torrent clients.
- Crypto Mining: Running cryptocurrency mining scripts (e.g., Bitcoin, Monero) is strictly prohibited on ALL plans, including VPS.
- Use shared hosting as a backup repository for content not related to your website.
5. VPS Specific Rules
While VPS clients have more freedom, the following are prohibited:
- DDoS Attacks: Launching DDoS attacks from our servers. If your VPS is the target of frequent attacks that destabilize our network, we may null-route your IP or suspend the service.
- IP Spoofing: Forging IP packet headers.
- Open Proxies: Running public open proxies or open VPN relays that are used for malicious purposes.
6. Enforcement and Violations
Nanobyte Hosting reserves the right to suspend or terminate services without refund for violations of this AUP. In severe cases (such as Phishing or CSAM), we may preserve data to provide to law enforcement agencies.
